The time has finally arrived for us to paint in Cordelia Park! Please join us from 10am to help paint the murals designed by NoDa artist William Puckett. Everyone is encouraged to be a part of this artwork that will remain in the park for years to come. One of the murals will cover the front of the overlook, an area that has often been the target for grafitti. The second mural will go on the retaining wall beside the walking path. The finished murals will be coated with a clear top coat that will allow any future attemps at grafitti to be wiped off.
We have scheduled to be there until 4pm but if we have a lot of people then we may get done earlier, so don't wait around to come out!
Amelie's will be providing free coffee and beginning at noon food truck the Tin Kitchen will be on site with yummy tacos. We'll be providing a limited number of free beers from NoDa Brewing after the event so make sure to stick around!
Thanks to Charlotte Neighborhood Matching Grants for making this possible, and all of our donors: NoDa Brewing, Birdsong Brewing, Jack Beagle's, State Farm, NoDaRioty, McClure Sports, and Christ Central Church. And thanks to all of our volunteers who have helped clean the park and get the sites ready and all who will volunteer on Saturday.
